Over the past two weeks residents of the city have been battling to secure a constant supply of water. This has made life unbearable for most of the residents as they can only get water early in the morning. Electricity cuts here are also causing untold suffering to residents.

An internet caf owner operating in the town said that frequent power interruptions were making business very difficult.

According to a statement by Masvingo United Residents and Ratepayers Association (MURRA) there have been reports that some residents were selling the commodity at US$1 for two buckets.
