Chinyanga, who spoke to The Zimbabwean on Sunday by phone from Cape Town, South Africa where is living, said: I am not sick as many think. I have been living a stressful life in South Africa trying to make ends meet. I came down south looking for a job in February and life has been hell. I am not a celebrity in South Africa and no one notices me I am an ordinary citizen.

The actor-musician and radio personality is expected to be released from hospital anytime next week but his main problem will be coming back home and paying the medical bill that has skyrocketed to R100 000 in a space of a month.

I came here with no proper papers and going back home might be a stress again as I am not well enough to travel by road from Cape Town to Harare. My medical bill is now R100 000 but there are some people willing to assist, he said.

Chinyanga or Muwengwa, as he was popularly known by his fans, left Zimbabwe before the all inclusive government was put in place as the harsh economic conditions hit hard the arts industry. But the talented actors South Africa sojourn has not been much fruitful.
