Drama at Rufaro

stadium_barbourfieldHARARE - There was drama at Rufaro Stadium at the weekend as Lengthens and Shooting Stars traded accusations over the use of juju before the BancABCSup8r knock out cup final pitting the two teams.

Lengthens used the toilet as their changing room and even at half time during pep talk by the team’s coach Mandla Masiku they used the toilet instead of the changing room.

Lengthens who were the home team accused their opponents of using juju after they found them using both changing rooms one for the away team and the other for the home team.

Shooting Stars were the first to arrive before the match and are alleged to have sprayed some substance in the home team’s changing room just before kick off.

Stars initially refused to hand over the keys for the home team’s changing room to Lengthens and when they finally agreed to hand over the keys, Lengthens refused to use the dressing room opting to use the toilet.

“You can’t trust any one. Why in the first place did they use the changing room which is reserved for the home team. We could not use the same dressing room which they were using. What did they put in that dressing room? If we had used that dressing room would we be celebrating this victory?” said one of Lengthens officials.

Shooting Stars, however, said they did not practice the use of juju and argued that they did not use their changing room but were only trying keys to that room.
