The organisations chief economist, Loraine Chikanya, said in Harare? a survey conducted to assess the development of the?economy through business performance since the formation of the?inclusive government in February showed investment continued to be low.??

From the survey we conducted we found out that the economy has?grown significantly by at least 10%.We also noted low investment in?the business sector since the formation of the inclusive government,?because no priority has been given to the restoration of investor confidence.??

We therefore recommend the urgent formulation of?investor friendly policies by the authorities so that industry?records growth that comes only through foreign investment, because?without foreign investment its difficult for our economy to grow?said Chikanya.??

Continuing farm invasions and harassment of foreign business people by?Zanu (PF) top officials discourage investment by?foreign owned companies .??A case in point is the threat by b the Affirmative Action Group which to forcibly take over Nestle Zimbabwe.
