Lives saved at Hwange crusade

crusadeHWANGE An exciting Christian Crusade descended on Lwendulu and Empumalanga from August 24 until September 11, attended by thousands of locals.

There was a powerful anointing to preach the Gospel throughout both crusades and the Lord faithfully confirmed the message of His grace with signs and wonders, said organisers of the crusades. According to those involved in the meetings, more than 1000 people gave their lives to the Lord. Around 5,000 people attended the crusades eager to hear about our Lord Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God.

Every new convert will be visited in their homes by a pastor or a church leader, who will pray with them, further explain the way of salvation to them and introduce them to a local church fellowship, said one of the pastors involved.

Miracles of healing were reported.

A woman who was suffering with systemic lupus and was on her way to hospital for an emergency operation, diverted the ambulance in which she was travelling so she could be prayed for. She arrived at the team house unable to walk due to the weakness in her body. After prayer she received strength into her body immediately.

The last we heard was that the operation had been cancelled. Praise the Lord.

A woman who was unable to walk was visiting her daughter in Hwange. Her daughter, a believer in the Lord Jesus, called some members of the visiting team to her house to pray for her mother who was not a believer. After prayer she was instantly set free, got up and began to jump and dance with delight.

A man, who had been severely affected by meningitis and had been blind in both eyes for the last five months and could not stand or walk was brought to the crusade in a car. After prayer and anointing with oil in the Name of the Lord Jesus, his eyesight was completely restored and he was able to stand and walk slowly on his own.

We hear that he is continuing to gain strength and to walk around his house everyday.

On a daily basis people came to the crusade grounds to receive counselling and prayer from participating pastors and team members. Many were delivered from evil spirits. Others came bringing their charms and fetishes for burning as faith in Jesus Christ rose in their hearts. Drunkards came crying out for deliverance from their addiction to alcohol.

As is common in our crusades, scores of people were set free from demon possession, oppression and torment.

On the last night of the second crusade, many of the people that had believed on the Lord Jesus during the crusade were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. Many were so overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit that they could not stand or walk for some time after receiving prayer.

Not only have souls been saved, bodies healed and deliverances taken place, but the church in Hwange has been strengthened, united and further equipped for bringing in the harvest and setting people free from the works of Satan. We believe that the people who have turned to the Lord during the campaign are only the first-fruits of that which is still to come.
