The resident magistrate last came to Mvuma for court proceedings in October 2008, an issue that has negatively impacted the district.
“The people of Chirumhanzu have been denied justice for more than half a year. This means that those who want to be served have to go to Chivhu. We are in the Midlands but have to depend on services from another province,” said the District Administrator for Mvuma, Kanzwei Jecheche.
Jecheche revealed that the resident magistrate was appointed two years ago, but accommodation was yet to be arranged for him.
He said that due to pressure from the community his office was working on finding accommodation for him.
