Chidzambwa, who had 33 players in the initial squad that went into camp, opted for a blend of youth and experience in trimming his squad to 20, leaving the other 13 players disgruntled over his decision.

The Warriors coach infuriated other players with his decision to pick Njube Sundowns midfielder Thabani Kamusoko, who reportedly only resumed training on Thursday after suffering a chicken pox attack.

Shooting Stars seasoned defender David Kutyauripo allegedly protested openly, saying the coachs decision was unfair.

The Warriors set the ball rolling against Mauritius at Rufaro Stadium yesterday without the inform Gunners gunman Norman Maroto, who was sacrificed for Evans Gwekwerere.

Gwekwerere is on a loan to Dynamos from South African club Jomo Cosmos. The striker has only featured in one of DeMbares matches, leaving doubts on whether the former Dynamos gaffer recruited his team according to current form or past performance.

Honestly speaking, when they call me for camp next time I will not waste my time going there because all I have discovered is that Mhofu uses players he wants to drop for a friendly and picks different players for the team (for competitive games). I will just give an excuse that Im injured the next time they call me, said a disappointed player who declined to be named.

When The Zimbabwean on Sunday contacted Chidzambwa for comment last week, the Warriors mentor revealed that he could not please everyone.

Fans will always have something to say, they give you seven million suggestions and there is no way one can accommodate them all, he said.

Yes Kamusoko went home for five days after an illness, but he plays good football and I could not drop him just because he missed five days of training when other players also went back for their club matches. As for the strikers, I needed four of which two Cuthbert Malajila and Nyasha Mushekwi will be in the first team and the other two Evans Gwekwerere and Phillip Marufu will be for back-up.
