In a press statement Delta Beverages said that no production had taken place at its Harare Southerton plant since November 6, while there were also disruptions to production at tow other beer plants at Graniteside in Harare and at Belmont in Bulawayo.

Joint efforts between our technical staff and ZESA engineers to restore power supplies are still underway. As a consequence stocks will be low, the countrys largest beer maker said.

Delta said it had managed to restore production to full capacity at Graniteside and Belmont but said supplies to the market would take a while to return to normalcy.

It will take several days to restore full market supply once full production is restored at all plants, read the statement.

Zimbabwe is currently experiencing massive power blackouts because of reduced generation at the countrys two largest power stations Hwange and Kariba which are undergoing maintenance work.
