International award for Tuku

The award is sponsored by Project Concern International (PCI) charity, which works in Botswana, Ethiopia, Malawi, Tanzania, South Africa and Zambia in different community projects for people living with HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases. ??

This is Mtukudzis first international award in years. He last received the Kora award for the best arrangement in the hit son Ndakuvara in 2003. ??The singer is currently in the UK where, he is set to share the stage with Thomas Mapfumo. He will also perform with South Africas Malaika in London on Saturday.??

He arrived in Canada last Wednesday at the start of his North American and European tour. Mtukudzi is touring with his son, Sam, and is backed by his Black Spirits band. He performed at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on Sunday. He will open his UK tour with a gig in Leicester on Friday.
