US$20 million was promised for Basic Education Access Module (BEAM), but Tanyaradzwa Support group secretary, Ruth Shoko, said that their children had continued to drop out of school.
“We have not been able to pay school fees since the introduction of foreign currencies in the country and every term our children are expelled because of outstanding fees. The government should monitor BEAM so as to note the people who have benefited from the facility as most of the people in our Support Group did not benefit,” she said.
Tanyaradzwa is a support group of over 50 people living with HIV/AIDS and was formed in June last year.

CHITUNGWIZA Parents here have raised concerns over the fact that their children have been expelled for failing to pay school fees, despite the governments promise of money for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
