Residents sue ZESA

Residents who spoke to ***The Zimbabwean during its visit to the suburb said they lost gadgets worth thousands of US dollars and they wanted compensation from ZESA. We have decided to take them to court because they dont care about their clients. I lost all of my appliances, including my television, radio and refrigerator due to their electricity loading shedding which was not on schedule, said Micah Ndlovu who is leading the group of residents planning on suing the institution.

Another resident, Simba Musha, said: The problem with ZESA is that they just switch off electricity without giving us any warning and this has damaged most of our appliances .We cant take it anymore. The residents, through their lawyers from Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR), are also demanding that ZESA stop unnecessary electricity load shedding.
