The two players who missed their crucial league match against relegated Under Hill at Rufaro yesterday sneaked out of the country on Monday for trials with the South African giants.
CAPS United team manager Wilson Mutekede told The Zimbabwean that the Brazilians were interested in the two players.
“The two players flew to South Africa for trials with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns have asked to have a look at the two players before they sign them on,” said Mutekede adding that they would be on trials for two weeks.
If they make the grade, they will join fellow Zimbabwean Esrom Nyandoro who is already on the Brazilians books and is captain of the side.
Mushekwi and Mwanjali were part of the history making Warriors who won the regional Cosafa Senior Challenge when beating Zambia 3-1 in the final on November 1. Mwanjali was the captain of that team.
Mushekwi is the leading marks man in Zimbabwe with an incredible 21 league goals this season. Dynamos striker Cuthbert Malajila and Gunners marksman Norman Maroto are trailing behind with 18 league goals each.
