Third phase for 2010 tickets launched

The World soccer governing body says it has to date sold about 700 000 tickets to the 2010 World Cup South Africa that will be first time the tournament will be held on African soil. In the third phase tickets will be sold be randomly on a first come first serve basis. An individual can buy up to four tickets for each match and a maximum of seven matches.

Dont wait, go buy the tickets, Local Organising Committee chief executive Danny Jordaan said. Ticket prices have been fixed at R7 to the US Dollar, and therefore Category 1 tickets range from $160 to $900, Category 2 tickets range from $120 to $600, Category 3 tickets range from $80 to $400 and Category 4 tickets range from $20 to $150.

All persons with disabilities can apply for Category 4 tickets. The last minute sale phase, between 15 April and 11 July 2010, will see tickets that have become available due to unforeseen circumstances going on sale.
