The two face charges of undermining public confidence in law enforcement agents, after publishing a story in May entitled: “CIO, police role in activists’ abduction revealed”. The story named members of the CIO and police who were allegedly involved in the abductions of human rights and MDC activists in 2008.

Trial set for editors
HARARE - A Harare magistrate on Tuesday ruled that Vincent Kahiya and Constantine Chimakure, editors of the Zimbabwe Independent, should appear for trial on February 24 next year.
