It does not say we call the things that are as though they are not. So if you have a cold, you cant say I dont have one.
For Zimbabwe we need to call the things that are not as though they are. e.g. Thank you Lord that Zimbabwe is blessed. Thank you Lord that there is peace in Zimbabwe. This is a type of prophecy and it can only be done in true faith. See Hebrews 11 verse 1. Eventually, after years of faithful prophesying by Gods people, the time came and God sent Gabriel. Please read, Luke 1 verse 26-38.
This is an amazing part of scripture as the fulfilment of all those years of waiting was about to come to pass and Jesus was going to be born of a virgin. If your Bible mentions any other name but a virgin, then throw it away because this is the beginning of Christianity and if Mary was not a virgin then Jesus would have been no different to any other human. In the book of John 1 verse 14 it says, And the Word was made flesh.
When Gabriel spoke to Mary what he was doing was taking all those prophecies THE WORD and speaking them out and the Holy Spirit took the Word and it became flesh!
The culmination of all those prophecies over 4000 years were put together and boom, Mary conceived. Praise God! All the waiting was over, Jesus had arrived on the earth and He came as a man.
Just a few points regarding some of the things Gabriel said. He said that Mary was highly favoured. This is only mentioned twice in the whole Bible, in Luke 1; 28 and in Ephesians where it says, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He has made us accepted in His Beloved.
Just as Mary was considered highly favoured each, one of us who are Believers are accepted in the Beloved. We are all highly favoured! Does that not speak volumes of Gods love towards us – that we have done nothing to deserve anything from Him and yet He considers us highly favoured? Wow, what love!
So we see that although Adam and Eve opened the door for Satan to take control, God had a way and He knew that Jesus had to come as a man – but He had to come as a sinless person. So Jesus basically said to Satan, you take Me as your hostage. The only problem for the devil was, here was a Man with no corruptible seed. Continued on Tuesday.

On Thursday we saw what God had to do in order for Jesus to become a Man. He used people to prophecy. We will go into more detail later on, but prophecy is calling the things that are not as though they are. - Romans 4:17.
