SHURUGWI - Zimbabwe National Road Authority has given US$20 000 to Tongogara Rural District Council to fund the rehabilitation of roads. The councils Chief Executive Officer, Dr Lawrence Mantiziba, said the money would fund the rehabilitation of three important roads in the district.We have decided to prioritise the rehabilitation of Jabangwe-Marishongwe, Nyagari-Ngezi and Dorset-Mavhumashava roads which are very important roads because they service the bulk of our people, said Mantiziba. Mantiziba said work had already started along the Jabangwe-Marishongwe road. He said once the rehabilitation of the roads was complete, more bus operators were expected to service the district.
A few buses had withdrawn their services because of the poor state of some of our roads, he said.
