Netherlands supports fitness

fitness_equipmentMUTARE The College of Gorses in the city of Harlem, Netherlands, last week donated fitness equipment to benefit the local communitys sports development. The donation included fitness bicycles, dumbbells, training benches and weights.

The equipment will be managed by the Local Action 21 group which is comprised of the city health department, the ministry of education sport and culture and the citys housing department.

Speaking at the official opening of the Harlem-sponsored fitness centre in the high-density suburb of Chikanga, the City of Mutare Housing Director, Sternard Mapurisa, said the City of Mutare appreciated the support. He said the 15-year relationship between the city of Harlem and Mutare has created sustainability and development. We would like to thank the city of Harlem for their continued support, said Mapurisa.

He said the donated equipment would go a long way to assist youths in developing their sporting careers. Lets protect of our equipment from any form of vandalism. It belongs to you the people of Mutare, he said.
