As a result of initial problems concerning lack of places to hand in entry forms, readers have requested that the dates for the second and third draws be put back a week to give them more time to enter. In addition, thousands of readers in South Africa have entered the competition, saying they will give their prizes to relatives inside Zimbabwe if they win.

A number of retail outlets are now displaying boxes where readers can hand in their entry forms. These are available free of charge to any retail outlets. Please ask your local retailer to supply a box if you do not find one at their premises.

In the first draw Stanley Chishanga of Harare won the big prize in the first lucky draw, while Kenneth Chinoro of Mutare won the microwave oven and Jospene Chikete of Masvingo who won the cell phone. The top vendor was Ellias Gondoza. He brought in the highest number of completed vouchers from his customers and his prize is a cell phone and $50.

Next week we will announce the winner of the re-draw for the refrigerator, as the first time it was won by somebody who later turned out to be married to a staff member of our distributors, and was therefore ineligible to enter the competition.

Dont miss your chance to take part in the second draw on December 11. All you need to do is buy a copy of any issue of The Zimbabwean, answer the simple question and fill in your details on the voucher. Cut out the voucher and present it to any vendor or sales outlet stocking the newspaper.

The third and final draw will take place on December 18. Prizes in the big draw will include return flights to Jozi and R2000 cash to spend. All entries will be carried forward to the final draw.
