How on earth did the virgin-birth happen?

teach_me_your_waysIn Luke 1:26, the angel Gabriel comes to Mary. This is an amazing part of scripture and if you open your heart to these scriptures, it could radically change your life. It could change the whole concept how God can move in your life.

There are some powerful things that we are going to share. The sixth month it mentions here is the sixth month of Elizabeths pregnancy. The scripture continues to say that Mary was a virgin. Its important for you to see and acknowledge that this was a virgin birth. Jesus was not born from a union of a man and woman, but the union of God and a woman by the Holy Spirit.

This was a supernatural birth. Jesus was not just a human. Most religions in the world recognize Jesus as a man, but none of them will accept that Jesus was God in the flesh. If you have a version of the Bible that says Mary was a young maiden or a damsel, then I suggest you get rid of that Bible, because it is very important for you to accept and know that Jesus was born of a virgin. In verse 28 it says, And the angel came in unto her and said, “Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women. Mary was certainly blessed, what an honour to be the mother of the Son of God! Please understand that Mary was not sinless as some people claim. Mary, when she sees Elizabeth, says her spirit rejoices in God her Saviour. Mary needed a Saviour. Why? She was a sinner.

Later on a woman cried out and said blessed is the womb that bore thee and blessed are the breasts that you have sucked. Jesus responded and said blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and do it. Thats you and me. Any person who has responded to Jesuss message and has embraced it is more blessed than Mary. (Luke 11:27) Thats what Jesus said. Its absolutely wrong to elevate Mary to a position where you revere her. She had great honour, but she was a sinner and she acknowledged it.

The birth of Jesus was completely natural in every sense of the word, except for one exception, instead of man providing the seed, God provided it the seed was Gods Word! Stay with me and follow the logic. In 1Peter 1:23 it says, being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God which liveth and abideth for ever. The scripture calls the Word of God a seed. Often in scripture it uses the word seed to describe the birth of someone. For example it says that Jesus was the seed of David. We dont have time to go through scriptures where seed is mentioned, but you can do that on your own.

What I believe happened at the virgin birth of Mary was the angel Gabriel came and announced to Mary that she was the one who God had chosen to provide this physical body for Him to indwell. She asked a question and Gabriel said the Holy Ghost would come upon her and she received it and Gabriel gathered up the Word that had been spoken about Jesus. As 1 Peter 1:23 says that the word is an incorruptible seed. Gabriel gathered up the prophecies spoken about Jesus over the centuries by God, the prophecies were the spoken Word of God. Words spoken by man but those Words came from God and God allowed man to speak forth those words.

That Word entered into Mary and the Word became the incorruptible seed, and the birth of Jesus was 100% natural in every way, except the seed (sperm) did not come from a man, it came from God. Gods Word was the seed that entered into Mary, and thats how she conceived. Thats why the scripture in John 1:14 says, The Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us.
