HARARE - US rapper Nas is said to be planning a gig in Harare on April 19, according to AllHipHop.com. The promoters announced that Nas will be one of a number of Hip-Hop acts who will travel to Zimbabwe to take part in the Zimrocks 2010 International Music Concert.
The concert, which will take place at Rufaro Stadium, is designed to raise money and awareness about the plight of the people of Zimbabwe, who have suffered due to the political and economic crisis that has gripped the country.
Zimrocks 2010 is tentatively being held on the symbolic day of April 19, to commemorate Bob Marleys April 19 inauguration performance celebrating Zimbabwes independence.
Artists listed as participating in the Zimrocks 2010 concert include Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Damian Marley, Wyclef Jean and others.
