GWANDA - A Gwanda magistrate has denied bail to two police officers arrested for beating to death a prison guard.Thomson Mabhikwa of Mabhikwa, Likhwa and Nyathi Associates has approached the High Court seeking a bail reprieve for Constables Admire Matsveru and Tinofara Moyo who were arrested in connection with the death of a Zimbabwe Prison Service (ZPS) officer, Johannes Moyo.
Gwanda Regional Magistrate, Takudzwa Gwazemba, remanded the two constables in custody when they appeared before him last week at the Gwanda Regional Magistrates Court and set February 2 as the trial date after denying them bail.
