Who has authority over the earth?

teach_me_your_waysThe Word became flesh. Now stick with me, this is very important. When God created the whole of creation in Genesis, it says, and God said let there be He spoke the Word. He spoke things into existence.

Everything that was created was created by words. When He had created the heavens and the earth, He rested. He turned the dominion of the earth over to Adam and Eve.

Im going to say things here that are a little off the page for most people. Its important to grasp the fact that after God created the earth, He gave it to Adam and Eve to rule and reign over it. When man sinned, God didnt take the earth back. He didnt say time out, Im going to take back the authority I gave Adam and Eve and you cant rule the earth anymore.

Psalm 89:34 says, My covenant will I not break, nor alter the things which have gone out of My lips.

Its important to acknowledge that if God says something He cannot break it! He is not like man who says something today and changes it tomorrow. This passage of scripture, take it and read it, memorise it, because if we know that God cannot change something He has spoken, then when times get tough, we wont find ourselves doubting His Word, because we will know what God said.

Hebrews 1:3 says, He is the express image of His person, upholding all things by the word of His power.

What this is saying is God cannot violate His Word; the integrity of His Word is what holds the universe together. He created everything physical by His Word. So if He had to violate His Word the whole universe would self-destruct! God cant say stop this is not what I intended, Im taking my authority back.

When man sold out to the devil, even though God didnt want this, it was mans right to do so. God could not come down and reverse things; He had to uphold His Word. This is an awesome truth and if you can get hold of it, it will change the way you think about God.

When it says in Hebrews, I will never leave you or forsake you. It means exactly that. It does not mean when you sin, that God leaves you. It does not mean when you leave the church building, he leaves you. He will never leave you or forsake you. The only time He will leave you, is if you tell God you want nothing more to do with Him. Even then God knows we say some crazy things when we are angry, but if you really want Him to leave you, He will but then you can never get Him back again, and thats what we know as the unpardonable sin.
