The recruitment exercise will be for general duty soldiers and will start on January 18, ending on February 8. Those willing should be between the age of 18 and 22 years. Those who have gone through National Youth Service Training and have at least five Ordinary level passes can apply until the age of 24. Those with higher qualifications in various fields should be between 18 and 30 years of age.
The Brigade’s Chief Recruiting Officer, Major Thomas Mauru, said the required candidates should be able to complete a 10 km road run in 45 minutes for male candidates and 55 minutes for female candidates. Candidates will be required to report to the following centres: Madyangove Secondary School in Chivi district on January 18, Neshuro Business Centre in Mwenezi district on January 21, Buffalo Range Military Base in Chiredzi district on January 25 and Zaka Secondary School in Zaka district on January 27.
Those in Bikita district have to report to Ushe Primary School on February 2, while those in Gutu district should report to 4.2 Infantry Battalion on February 5 and at Nemamwa Growth Point in Masvingo district on February 8.
