easy access to information and communication.

Youths in Mutare South said they wanted to know what the government was doing to improve ICT in the country.

Lack of equipment and funding has hampered our efforts to be associated with ICT, said Leonard Zvarare from Chigodora.

Most schools, especially in rural areas, do not have computers. This is worrying and should be addressed, he said.

Peter Machowa from Mutare Rural District Development Association said: Because of this, the rural and urban ICT gap has widened and affected national development.

The government, he said, should work on ensuring that every child had access to ICT through equipping schools with computers.

He said there should websites for rural districts so that the sites would help youths interact with the government and other stakeholders.
