Prime Ministers paper shredded

elderly_men_newsletterSANYATI Zanu (PF) youths, war veterans and soldiers went on a rampage, shredding copies of the Prime Ministers newsletter that was being distributed by the partys information and publicity department. (Pictured: Men in Sanyati read the Prime Ministers newsletter.)

After realising that information was lacking in Mashonaland East province, we decided to take the newsletter to all districts and left the papers with party officials, said Silas Gweshe, the partys publicity secretary.

We, however, received amessage from Mutoko saying that the Zanu (PF) DCC chairman, Killien Hurombo, had phoned soldiers at 22 Infantry Battalion at Doko, who had gone on to Mutoko Centre and started intimidating people who were reading the paper. The shopkeeper who we left with the papers has since asked us not to leave him with the papers for the time being.
