It began on Monday last week crippling most Public Service institutions as state employees reject the governments 10 percent salary increment.
More than 600 cases were left unattended, as court officials complemented the ongoing strike by not turning up for duty or locking themselves up in their offices.
The Provincial Magistrate for Matabeleland North Province, John Masimba, could not immediately reveal how many cases were left unattended, but acknowledged that only two courtrooms were functional.
I am not in a position to disclose how many cases have not been attended to, but only two of our courtrooms were fully functional. Each courtroom handles about 20 cases a day, he said.
