African Music Awards appoints Quartz Marketing for 2010 event

africa_music_award_logoUK based Marketing Company scored a major coup by being appointed Marketing consultants for the annual African Music Awards held in London.


Quartz will be providing services that include the development of a Social Media Marketing campaign, PR consultancy as well as provide assistance with securing sponsorship for the event.

After its successful launch in 2008 the awards have become a fixture in the London entertainment calendar and have attracted some of Africa’s best talent from around the world. This years event will be held at the Worlds prestigious Wembley Arena, London and looks set to make major strides towards becoming one of Africa’s premier events globally and lists the likes of Unicef as a beneficiary.

Speaking about this years event organiser Eric McKaiser said “We are looking to take the Awards to the next level this year by improving on its execution and infrastructure including the move to the Wembley Arena which we are excited about” he added “we are also excited about bringing Quartz on board to help us market the event. Not only does this provide a different perspective but it puts a team Southern Africa close to the centre of the event”.

Quartz Marketing has among other things helped one of Africas largest global event Zimfest increase its coverage and realise a massive jump in sponsorship interest and conversion. Director Mike Tashaya indicated that the AMAs represent a major opportunity and challenge for the company but that the team was looking forward to taking on this challenge.

The African Music Awards will be held at the Wembley Arena in London on October 15, 2010.
