Fruit business expands

MUTARE Vumba Wholesale Fruiterers this week said it was expanding its branch network to neighbouring Mozambique to make fruit wholesaling more accessible and convenient to the public.

In an interview with The Zimbabwean, the companys general manager, Harry Copland, said the expansion would not only boost the companys customer base, but also significantly increase its revenue streams. “We currently have 10 branches in the country and we are aiming to open more branches in areas where we lack representation in the country. We are also going to open branches in Manica, Chimoio and Beira in Mozambique between January and February this year,” he said.

“We are excited about this initiative which will enable more people to access Vumba Wholesale Fruiterers products with a Zimbabwean identity.” Copland said the expansion drive was part of the companys initiative to further improve its foothold across the African continent.
