Legendary and award-winning musician Oliver Mtukudzi, who since 1975, has produced an incredible 57 albums, is confirmed to headline event. Music is my life and being on stage is what I love most about making music. And so to be invited to do this and at the same time highlight an important cause in Zimbabwe is something I wholeheartedly endorse. The Pearl Ball aims to raise funds for the construction of Ndoro Childrens Charities flagship project, the Zororo Leadership Academy, an orphanage home, school and clinic planned for construction from March 2010.

The event will be hosted by indie-soul diva Shingai Shoniwa who fronts afro punk band The Noisettes and whose number 1 smash hit single Dont Upset The Rhythm, dominated the UK chart last summer. This stylish evening will include a mix of fundraising and live performances from Oliver Mtukudzi, Shingai Shoniwa, dancehall ambassador Jusa Dementor and north London based singer songwriter – Natty to name a few. The night will also honour Zimbabwean personalities who are trailblazers in the fields of music, film, sport and business, with special awards.

Tickets for the champagne reception and dinner at the exclusive Westbury Hotel in Mayfair, London are priced at 120 and are on sale now from www.ndorocc.org.uk.
