Zimbabwe who faced a host of problems ahead of the match with Harare based players being forced to commute to training from their homes after ZIFA indicated they were broke got their goals from Gunners midfielder Ramson Zhuwawo who netted the first goal after just nine minutes before striker Nyasha Mushekwi weighed in with the other two goals.
Zhuwawo capitalised on a spill from Swaziland goalkeeper Njabuliso Simelane when he scored the first goal for Zimbabwe following a fierce shot from CAPS United striker Nyasha Mushekwi.
The big CAPS United striker then scored the second goal after 43 minutes and then completed his brace in the second half when he fired the ball past a bemused Swaziland goalkeeper following a good cross from midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike.
Yesterday’s victory by the Warriors means Zimbabwe qualify to the second round with a 5-1 aggregate win after the Warriors won the first leg in Swaziland 2-1.
The Dynamos pair of Ashley Rambanepasi and Cuthbert Malajila scored both goals.
The Warriors are seeking a second successive appearance at the CHAN finals, scheduled for Sudan next year.
The Warriors took part at the inaugural CHAN tournament in Cote d’Ivoire last year and managed three draws but could not proceed beyond the group stages of the competition.
