The villagers have fallen prey when they go to the river to fetch water for household purposes or when they go to take a bath, wash clothes and fishing.
Villagers interviewed by The Zimbabwean, said the crocodiles had so far killed two and seriously maimed others in the area. A Sanyati councillor confirmed the dangerous creatures had taken some lives, adding that the issue had become a cause for concern. He warned villagers to exercise extreme caution when approaching the river. Villagers appealed to the Department of National parks and Wildlife to visit the area to destroy the notorious crocodiles.
