Malema loves dictators: DA

julius_malemaJOHANNESBURG South Africa official opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) party has said ANC youth leader Julius Malemas recent visit to Zimbabwe and his trip to Venezuela last week showed that the he idolised dictators.

Malema and eight other youth league leaders spent three days in Zimbabwe late last month on a visit they said was meant to show solidarity with President Robert Mugabes Zanu (PF) party. The ANC Youth League boss left South Africa last Wednesday on a visit to Venezuela.

These are rouge nations, either dismissive of or opposed to basic democratic principles, their leaders have scant regard for the well being of their people and their policies reflect this attitude. Why is Malema flirting with them? a DA spokesperson, Khume Ramulifho, said in a statement.

Upon his return from Zimbabwe, Malema declared his organisations support for Zanu (PF) while denouncing the MDC of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.

The ANC is in the process of instituting disciplinary proceedings against Malema following those comments, which it says compromise President Jacob Zumas status as mediator in the Zimbabwean political crisis.
