PRETORIA - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Esrom Nyandoro Sundowns confirmed in its official website that the Warriors linkman was still to regain fitness after aggravating his injury a fortnight ago in the Telkom Knockout match against Kaizer Chiefs.
Nyandoro, the Sundowns captain, limped off towards the end of the match, which his team eventually lost 1-0 to the Johannesburg giants.
Head coach Trott Moloto had fielded the player despite him carrying an injury.
The former Amazulu midfielder and Zimbabwe Saints junior player had a forgettable season in 2009/10 after a string of injuries and loss of form.
When on top of his form, he is one of Sundonwns most important players and is key to club President Patrice Motsepes vision of his team conquering the African continent.
Meanwhile, Sundowns revealed that Brazilian defender Eduardo Ferreira and Bafana Bafana hopeful Luvhengo Mungomeni were also struggling with injuries.
Striker Lerato Chabangu and utility player Derrick Spencer are back at training.
