We are looking at hope and knowing that Gods Spirit dwells in us. Now many people would agree that God wants us to be prosperous or that God wants us well, but inside, we still have a poverty or sickness mentality.
Sadly, most people have not let the Word of God paint his picture for our lives on the inside of us. We need to use Gods Word like a paintbrush to change our inner image to agree with what the Word says about us. But most people are living life with a different image. They do not see themselves as prosperous but as poor; so no matter how much they pray or try to believe, they will never be prosperous. Gods definitions are different from ours. We need to get our definitions and expectations to line up with us.
We will struggle until we change the image inside ourselves. People may fulfill Gods Word by sowing lots of seed, but the image of themselves inside their heart is one of poverty.
Now, the Good News is always with you. You may not see Him, feel Him, or sense Him, but He is there. Let us turn to John 14:16-18, which says, And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him. But ye know Him, for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you.
The word another in the Greek is allos. It means one of the very same kind or the same character, the same everything. It means duplicate. So the verse in Greek reads: I will pray to the Father, and He will send you Someone who is just like Me in the way He speaks, the way He thinks, the way He operates, and the way He sees things, and the way He does things He will be exactly like Me in every way. If the Holy Spirit is here, life will be just as if I were here, because We think, behave, and operate in exactly the same way.
