The move is aimed at bringing all necessary processes for investing in the country under one roof.
ZIA chief executive officer, Richard Mbaiwa, told a business conference at the just ended Zimbabwe International Trade fair that this would shorten the time take to process an application.
Under the concept, key entities such as the registrar of companies, the Department of Immigration and the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority among other would be incorporated within the structures.
Other organizations to be included entail the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, Geological Survey Department, the Environmental Management Agency and local authorities.
There is a need for reforming the way we have been doing business in the country. Through OSS this will go a long way in changing the perception of the country, he said.
Mubaiwa said ZIA will continue to play a facilitating role in liaising with other agencies.
The new concept will eliminate administrative bottlenecks, reduce time and high cost of doing business and also eliminate dealing with multiple agencies, he said.
The country has in the past been generally rated poorly as a place of doing business in comparison to other countries in the region and worldwide.
He, however, said the creation of an OSS alone will not necessarily change Zimbabwes fortunes but should be viewed as part of the process of consolidating macroeconomic recovery, which includes other measures being taken by Government to improve the investment environment.
