Zimbabwean shot in Hilbrow

shooting_gunJOHAANESBURG - A 24-year-old Zimbabwean man is nursing a broken shoulder, after he was shot at close range by his countryman in Hillbrow suburb, Johannesburg on Thursday morning.

Police identified the injured man as Brian Ndlovu and said that he was shot after an argument with the suspect, a security guard over a flat in the suburb. Police spokesman, Bhekizizwe Mavundla, told The Zimbabwean that the two men had an argument over accusations that Ndlovu had thrown litter out through the window. The quarrel later led to a fist fight between the two, resulting in the suspect -Sakhele Moyo, drawing out his service weapon to shoot the victim, said Mavundla.

The injured mans neighbour, who identified himself only as Khaya, blamed the security guard, who has since been arrested on attempted murder charges, for the mishap. This man is a problem to us, now look he has shot his own country man in foreign lands. He must rot in jail and we dont need such malevolent people in the society. He is evil. How could he shoot someone over the property that does not even belong to him? Flats skirmishes have been dominating the foreign migrants infested suburb of Hilbrow in the past few years, with Zimbabweans brutally killing one another.
