ARGENTINA, DENMARK ARRIVE FOR WORLD CUP

world-cup_2010Johannesburg---Teams continue jetting in for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa will host June 11-July 12.

The latest are Argentina, led by legend Diego Maradona, and Denmark, who touched down at the Oliver Tambo International Airport at the weekend.

They follow Brazil and Australia who jetted in last week.

The Local Organising Committee welcomed the two teams.

The arrival of Denmark and Argentina means that four of the participating teams have now arrived in South Africa and we look forward to the arrival of the rest ahead of the tournament. The World Cup has now arrived and already we are seeing great excitement around the country with the likes of Kaka and Messi now in South Africa. We wish all the teams well for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, said Chief Executive Officer of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Dr Danny Jordaan in a statement to The Zimbabwean.
