Bereaved sungura giant Tongai "Dhewa" Moyo is set to make an emotional return to the stage this Friday when he joins superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and dendera music heir, Sulumani Chimbetu, at the Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex for the World Cup Fever Bash. Dhewa recently lost his wife Barbara Moyo nee Muchengeti to suicide. Promoter Patson Chimbodza of Chipaz Promotions said he was excited to have Dhewa joining the big names in his first show after the passing of Barbra.
Dhewa is expected to churn out the hit song “Zvinoita Murudo”, which he says he penned in dedication to his late wife when she went to the United Kingdom in the early 2000s.
