Doves launches policy revival pgm

doves_logoHARARE - Funeral insurance policy holders whose policies lapsed due to the hyperinflationery environment experienced in Zimbabwe during 2007-2008 are set to benefit from a policy revival programme to be initiated by Doves Funeral Assurance (Pvt) Ltd.

According to Paul Muchesa of Doves Funeral Assurance marketing department, almost all stop-order facilities for clients crumbled in 2008 due to hyperinflation. Most businesses and clients were adversely affected as a result. Muchesa said the company was now set to revive these policies and clients would be entitled to get immediate cover upon payment of initial premiums. The revival initiative is to cover individual policies, including corporate or group policies and government pensioners.

Doves will be sending out marketing teams to various provinces in the country to effect the revival programme. Muchesa added that several innovations had been made to company products. These include a bus being provided to mourners and a new product called Life rider – or cash payout – has been introduced. This involves cash payouts upon death of a policy holder. Muchesa also revealed that there were more than 10 000 fully paid up policies awaiting revival under the programme. Clients will receive immediate cover upon payment of the initial premiums.

Doves has also announced a product aimed directly at Zimbabweans in the diaspora product. To be called ekhaya, this funeral policy will cover those who have left the country. It will assist families and companies by covering funeral costs for those who would have died in the diaspora and sending their bodies home without any hassles. www.doves.co.zw Toll free number:0800 4111
