Hospital gets cooling system

GWERU - The Gweru General Hospital has finally managed to install a new cooler system for its mortuary that broke down more than four months ago.

Gweru Provincial Hospital Acting Medical Superintendent, Dr. Fabian Mashingaidze, said the government had intervened to get the mortuary back in shape. “The mortuary is one area that we have worked on refurbishing in the past few months and it is now fully operational and we are satisfied. We have installed a new cooling system and there is nothing like decomposing bodies or maggots eating bodies. We are also working on constructing a Stand by Cooling Unit and the

department of public works will be taking care of that. It’s an ongoing process and it will deliver results soon, he said. Dr. Mashingaidze also said the problem of unclaimed bodies was also on the decline.
