Tawengwa Chokuda, whose was son was abducted and murdered by people who were driving a vehicle emblazoned with a Zanu (PF) logo, says he will not succumb to bulling and intimidation tactics by the police meant to force him to bury the body of his son, Moses.
The MDC Changing Times newsletter quotes Chokuda as saying that he wanted a clear explanation from the murderers why they killed his son.
Two known Zanu (PF) youths, Isaac Gana and Farai Machaya, who is the son of Midlands governor and senior party stalwart Jason Machaya are accused of abducting and murdering Moses. Gana is the ZANU PF district coordinating committee chairman for Gokwe.
Details of the case are that Machaya and Gana diverted foodstuffs and wheelchairs donated by First Lady Grace Mugabe and put them in their shop for sale. When several members of the community, including Moses, protested the dispute escalated.
Machaya and Gaya allegedly abducted Moses from Masakadza business centre in March last year. They accused him of breaking into their shop and stealing the donated goods. He was never seen alive again.
The two Zanu (PF) youths were arrested over Moses murder but were released on bail, amid reports that they could use their political connections to evade justice.
