The Powerade Ball Crew will have the task of retrieving the ball and giving it back to the players during the tournament matches.
In a statement to The Zimbabwean, Powerade said the amateur clubs and schools that will provide the Powerade Ball Crew will be rewarded with memorable and unforgettable experience. There is also an added incentive for two of the club committee members of each selected team to experience the game behind the scene, as Chaperones to the Powerade Ball Crew, the company said.
Bafana Bafana legend Andre Leander Arendse, meanwhile endorsed the initiative and said he would give his expert advice throughout the programme.
The legendary, Supersport, Sundowns, Santos and Fulham goalkeeper will be visiting some of the selected amateur teams congratulating them and offering advice on football matters. Emphasis will also be on the importance of choosing a good source of hydration for the game.

JOHANNESBURG - Powerade, the sports drink chosen to hydrate players during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, will give 31 amateur clubs the opportunity to send 12 of their players between the ages of 14 and 17 to the world football showpiece as the Powerade Ball Crew.
