White commercial farmers property auctioned

HWEDZA - Zanu (PF) Governor and Resident Minister for Mashonaland East, Aenias Chigwedere, auctioned property left by white commercial farmer, Seaga, at Nelson farm here last Saturday May 22.

If Seaga thought he would use the farming equipment when MDC governs the country, he was dreaming. MDC will never rule this country, Chigwedere told people on arrival at this rural growth point. He proceeded to the farm with his government officials, chiefs and villagers. At the farm, he marked unbelievably law prices on the equipment. Chiefs were given first priority to choose items of their choice. MDC councillors boycotted the auction.

Auctioned equipment included tractors, lorries, irrigation pipes, water pumps, households and a variety of items. Chigwedere said proceeds from the auction would be channelled into council coffers. What Chigwedere has done is evil and inhuman. As provincial leader, he was supposed to lead by example. If he had a human heart, he would have safe-guarded the property on behalf of the farmer. I did not go to the auction as the exercise was evil, said a businessman at the growth point.

Chigwedere threatened to auction property left for safe keeping by evicted white farmers across the province.
