“As an association, we believe in the excellence of local artists. We expect to engage promoters so that they catch that vision. Foreign artistes operate in our market place and we must share the space with them because the current practice is not taking into consideration our own local artists, he said.
Our members have been affected economically in terms of royalties. The spirit behind the 75% local content is being ignored by our Radio stations. The Radio Stations are only favouring Harare artists with the 75% local content policy, said Asaph.
The Bulawayo Music Association celebrated the Culture Week at the Entembeni Old Peoples Home in Luveve through a clean-up awareness campaign.
