With the appointment of new national team coach, Alan Butcher, and the return of the likes of Grant Flower, Heath Streak and Dave Houghton things are progressing well with the side, the former left-handed batsman told the official International Cricket Council website last Thursday.
This recent series (triangular, against India and Sri Lanka) has helped us to showcase to the world that we have turned a page with our progress as a side, as a country and also in as far as how Zimbabwe Cricket is concerned, Campbell said.
Streak, Flower and Houghton retuned to the team to help with coaching following longstanding differences with Zimbabwe Cricket.
The team has recently shown improvement and prospects of retaining the form that made them a feared outfit in the 1990s.
At the beginning of the month, Zimbabwe concluded a triangular series in Bulawayo and Harare against Sri Lanka and India. They finished runner-up to Sri Lanka. They had earlier beaten highly rated India.
