CAPS United, then coached by Charles Mhlauri, had also won the league title the previous season.
Dynamos who were pipped at the post by last years league winners, Gunners, have maintained a 100 percent start to the season, with their 1-0 victory over Bantu Rovers last Sunday their seventh this season.
The victory saw DeMbare shooting to the top of the table after collecting a maximum 21 points from their seven games to date.
Motor Action, who remained on 19 points after they were shocked 1-0 by premiership newcomers Douglas Warriors are second on the log.
Cuthbert Malajila was the hero for Dynamos striking a spectacular scissors kick to see off Bantu Rovers and help his side to the top of the league table and to remain on course to challenge CAPS five-year old record of unbeaten runs.
But the Dynamos striker, who finished second top goal scorer last season, appeared not too concerned about matching CAPSs winning run and instead said his main focus was to help Dynamos win the league title.
“It was a good performance by the team. We are now on course to winning the league title. The challenge for us is now to remain focused right up to the end of the season. We really need to stay focused if we are to win the title,” he said.
