One of President Robert Mugabes blue-eyed boys and Zanu (PF)s top official Didymus Mutasa He is said to have recently ordered war veterans to ignore court orders to vacate seized land.
At least five commercial farmers in the area have come under attack in the last week, as the drive to grab the remaining commercial land in Zimbabwe continues.
Didymus Mutasa is coordinating a terror campaign and is currently in the process of chasing away the few remaining white farmers in the province, said an affected commercial farmer in Manicaland.
Mutasa recently addressed a Zanu (PF) gathering telling people that by the end of 2010, there will be no single white owned farm in the province, said the farmer.
CFU Vice President Charles Taffs told The Zimbabwean that land invaders had attempted to evict the farmers since the start of June, with many farmers being arrested and incarcerated for days at a time.
This is despite most of the farmers being in possession of court orders allowing them to remain on their land. These are deliberate attacks on farmers who went to the courts seeking protection of their farms, Taffs explained.
This is a well orchestrated campaign with direct orders by a Minister of the State to ignore the courts, he added.
