This follows the suspension of Kisimusi Dhlamini, Director for security, on allegations of inviting members of the Central Intelligence Officers (CIO) into Harvest House, the MDC headquarters last month.
Dhlamini is accused of having a secret meeting at the party headquarters with two well known members of the CIO which resulted in violence at the party headquarters where youth beat up a senior party member.
Mutsekwa, who is also a co-Home Affairs Minister, said investigations into the case were still under way.
There were problems at Harvest House and the Director of security was implicated, and while investigations are continuing we have said the security department should fall under the direct control of the party President and myself and its natural. When investigations are over we will re-oganise it, said Mutsekwa.
