He was the most feared hard man in the pitch by many strikers and now he wants young players to adopt his legacy.
Tembo said he had ventured into coaching since 2007. He said he was very confident of his coaching career as he had won some silver medals with Super sport United juniors, consisting of U-17 and U-19 who also doubles as the reserve side to the Super sport main team.
I have been engaged in coaching since 2007 and I love my job very much, it gives me the opportunity to mingle with different young stars and it helps me in passing my talent to the young players.
In 2008, we participated in the Engen Cup tournament and we came out victors and that same year we participated in another tournament in Netherlands where we beat teams like Ajax Amsterdam among other teams.
This year we also added another silver ware to our Academy, as we triumphed in the Bay Hill Cup in Cape Town, which was sponsored by Metropolitan, added Kaitano.
Born 1970, in Harare, Tembo started his professional football career at Dynamos and went on to reach the final of African Champions league in 1998 with the flamboyant unvanquished Dembare outfit, under the mentorship of current Free State Stars coach Sunday Chidzambwa. After some impressive flashy appearances for Dynamos in 1998, he was snatched by the now defunct South African side Seven Stars and he just featured for them for few months before being lured to Pretoria based Super Sport United in the same year. He went on to regularly feature for Super Sport in the South African premier league in a career spanning half a decade before being forced out by a career threatening knee injury in 2006.
Popularly known as Ngwenya for his no nonsense defending, Kaitano also featured for the Zimbabwe Warriors on many occasions alongside the great Zimbabwean players like the late Benjamin Konjera, Henry Mckop, Engelbert Dhina, Muzondiwa Mugadza and Chamunota Musanhu.
