Where are they now? with Mkhululi Chimoio

mugadzaThis week yours truly meets the former Zimbabwe Warriors international shot stopper and excellent penalty taker, Muzondiwa Mugadza, who is slogging in the United Kingdom. (Pictured: Muzondiwa Mugadza)

Currently based in the United Kingdom, long time retired soccer legend Mugadza said he was focusing on work and family.

I am currently working like everyone else in UK. I cant complain as long as I am having something to feed my family with.

I retired long time ago in soccer and I am not involved in the game of late, as I am currently focusing on my family, he said.

Muzondiwa migrated to the United Kingdom in search of greener pastures at the height of Zimbabwes economic and political melt down, which has lasted for a decade.

Mugadza is regarded as the best ever goalkeeper and penalty taker during his playing days. He featured for the now dead Zimbabwe Saints before joining and winning the championship with the now defunct former Delma Lupepe owned outfit Amazulu.

He was also a member of Zimbabwes Warriors team under the mentorship of Sunday Chidzambwa, which won the COSAFA CUP in the early 2000 alongside the talented Mugeyi twins Wilfred and William. He was regarded as the best goalkeeper ever by the Zimbabwes soccer darlings for his fanatics saves on the pitch.
